He comes from the Ivory Coast.<\/p>\n<p>Abandoned by his parents at the age of 11 because of the discovery of his homosexuality, Jean-Lo\u00efc learned to survive for 6 years as a gay teenager in the streets of Abidjian.<\/p>\n<p>His relationship with a young man was discovered by the neighbourhood. His companion was lynched by the crowd. Jean-Lo\u00efc could not benefit from the protection of the police and the justice system in his country. He had to flee C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire to preserve his life.
